Blogher is right around the corner and the twitter stream is already buzzing with the question, “What are you wearing?”.
We know walking into a room full of complete strangers is not always easy.
Picking out an outfit that you feel comfortable in is really important in order to make you feel confident about yourself.
You want to make a statement and a great first impression not only to your fellow bloggers but also to the brands you hope to create a business relationship with after the event.
Here are a few thing to think about when it comes to blog conference attire:
- Conference days are long and you can be on your feet for a few hours. During the day, we suggest ditching the 3 inch heels for cute flats or sandals.
- Even though it may be 90 degrees out, remember that conference rooms can get a big chilly with the A/C on. Throw a light cardigan in your bag, so you you have it on hand in case you get cold.
- Pick outfits that you feel comfortable in. Having a shirt that you feel self-conscious in or shoes that are ripping your feet apart, will only make you have a miserable experience.
- When packing, choose outfits that you can mix-and-match and add a few different accessories to accent your pieces. No one will know and it will take up less space in your suite case.
We reached out to one of our favorite fashion bloggers, Carly from ThirtySomethingFashion, to put together a few looks for the upcoming Blogher conference.
Below she shows you how to take a look and turn it from day to night with a few simple changes.

i personally cant stand skirts but i love how other people wear them. i am very comfortable in a suit cuz there are so many ways to dress one up or down. you CANT go wrong with a cardigan either!! totally stealing that yellow blouse.
Fun pics, definitely go with the flats. My feet, even in comfy shoes, are hurting by the end of BlogHer each year.
I need to go shopping now!
These are great combination and could be worn for a other events.
