For Parents: How to Get Uninterrupted Sleep

As a parent, you know that the chance of some uninterrupted sleep is about as small as eating a meal without wiping your kids’ faces.

Fortunately, for me and Tina, we got two nights of uninterrupted sleep AND got to eat a fabulous meal without wiping anyone’s face but our own.

The good news is that you can too! Simply fly to Chicago and stay at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago.

Seriously!

Hyatt Regency Chicago

A few weeks ago, we packed our bags to join the Chicago Girls’ Lunch Out team for their first Girls’ Lunch Out networking event. Being the ever-fabulous ladies we are, we wanted to stay in a hotel that was luxurious, affordable and offered a kick-butt view of Chicago. After all, we were there to work, not play, so we wanted to see as much of the city skyline as possible.

Good morning, Chicago!

The Hyatt Regency Chicago has all newly renovated guest rooms, which is why my jaw just about dropped to the floor when I saw where I would be sleeping.

No room for kids.

We had adjoining rooms, with a conference-style room in the center, which was perfect for us to meet, work, and jump on the hotel’s Wi-Fi network. Also, plenty of flat screens to not watch Dora on.

We even got a special treat from the hotel to welcome Girls’ Lunch Out to Chicagoland! Needless to say, our husbands received plenty of photos that looked like this.

When in Chicago, you have to eat some steak, right? Of course! Even a vegetarian would have a hard time saying no to a dinner at Stetson’s Chop House, located at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

We had a fabulous meal – filet, scallops and all the sides you could want. But perhaps the coolest thing about Stetson’s Chop House was that the wine list and dessert menu were on an iPad. Well played, Stetson’s!

Not only could we choose our wine, we could learn about the wine, its region and what it’s best paired with.

Of course, after dinner, we had to have a drink at the Big Bar.

Because everyone needs a GIANT nightcap, right?

Thank you to Hyatt Regency in Chicago, who gave us a complimentary stay and was a sponsor for the first Girls’ Lunch Out event in Chicago.
